Integrative Biology transfers from the RSC to OUP

(May 2018) We are pleased to announce the transfer of the journal Integrative Biology  from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) journals portfolio to Oxford University Press (OUP).   Bertoli Mitchell represented the RSC in this deal.

Integrative Biology, currently in its 10th volume, is a highly regarded multi- and inter-disciplinary journal for research using experimental or computational quantitative technologies to characterise biological systems at the molecular, cellular, tissue and population levels.

The journal will join OUP’s world-class science portfolio starting with the 2019 volume.

Professor Doug Lauffenburger, Editor in Chief of Integrative Biology, said: "My editorial board colleagues and I are very pleased by the unique inter-disciplinary bioscience community this journal has established over the past years with the Royal Society of Chemistry, and we are tremendously excited about the opportunity for further increasing the influence of our contributions in the future with OUP."

Dr Emma Wilson, RSC director of publishing, said: "Integrative Biology is an innovative and exciting journal, though we felt that in the longer term, its target community would be better served by a publisher with a strong biological journals portfolio.

"We are very pleased to have completed the deal with OUP with the assistance of Bertoli Mitchell LLP and we wish Integrative Biology all the best for the future in its new home."
